                                      OLD POSTCARDS REUNITED

In this section we will be making a vast collection of postcards available. Many of these have connections to an individual (or individuals), who may be one of your ancestors.

Before the telephone became a household item, postcards were one of the most popular forms of communication. A postcard may have been sent to a friend a few streets away, or a family member in a different part of the country. They can often prove to be a valuable resource in family history, providing not only names and dates, but details of events such as the birth of a new child.

Postcards were also seen as collectibles, and people would often keep them in an album, much like they would with photographs. We have been able to obtain several albums like these over the past few years and provide a full family history for the descendants.

The postcards displayed in this section are available either in their physical form, as a digital image, or as a print. If you wish to view a larger preview before purchasing, we will be happy to email you a watermarked image.

If there is a particular category of postcard that you wish to view, but it is not displayed on this website, please contact us - we have a vast library of postcards and albums in our posession that may contain what you are looking for.

It is our hope that you will be able to find postcards relating to your ancestors, and that these will truly be 'Old Postcards Reunited' with their families.

Please note that this is still very much a work in progress - we own thousands of postcards and will be providing regular updates with new content. For this reason also, there may be areas where a postcard is not fully detailed, i.e question marks in place of a name or location. We will be updating these details as soon as possible - if in the meantime you wish to contact us, we will be happy to provide the information you require.
